The Wedding Gown Of Kate Middleton Reeked Of Royal Splendor

Kate Middleton Wedding DressFashion is the call of the day in today’s world and every event in today’s world bears witness to this fact. The Royal wedding in which Prince William and Kate Middleton were legally sworn as man and wife was one such event. The fashion freaks were not disappointed with the fashion trends portrayed in this ceremony. The wedding outfit of the very fashionable Kate drew many sighs of exclamation from the crowd which gathered to witness one of the most majestic events of history. The veil could not hide the glow on the bride-to-be’s face as she arrived at Westminster Abbey. The gown, in which the Duchess of Cambridge appeared, reportedly bore some of her own fashion tips.

Sarah Burton got to play her role in the royal wedding as she designed the wedding gown to be worn by Prince William’s bride. Miss Middleton looked almost angelic in the handmade Alexander McQueen ivory gown as she walked down the aisle. The bodice and the skirt were embroidered with lace appliqué designed by hand by the very prestigious Royal School of Needlework. The intricate designing involved hand cut flowers, individually applied on the silk tulle which is of the same hue as that of the gown. Such detailed craftsmanship and minute technicality can be well expected from this British brand. The gown accentuated her perfect figure and in some ways seemed a shadow of a similar one worn by Grace Kelly for her own regal wedding.

It will not be too outrageous a statement if one says that the outfit scored well above the latest fashion trends, so to speak. The train measured a two meters and seventy centimeters in length as it trailed after the new member of the royal family. The traditional tiara shaped like a halo, which crowned her head, is steeped in history as it belongs to the early twentieth century. Made by Cartier, this tiara was Queen Elizabeth’s when King George VI bought it for her. Handmade shoes adorned Kate’s feet. The bouquet which was shaped like a shield contained symbolic flowers- the sweet William, lily of the valley and hyacinth is deemed to denote love and well being.

Even though the currently accepted fashion trends have been kept alive in the wedding, a fine blend of traditional aspects has been incorporated. The tiara is an example and so is the myrtle which formed a part of Queen Victoria’s wedding outfit way back in 1858. Kate Middleton portrayed an image befitting a royal princess. Her stately demeanor left everyone mesmerized as she looked at her husband dotingly, eyes full of promise.
